« Massacre » est la deuxième sortie du duo Mas. Après « Géométrie du Cœur », les deux artistes proposent cette fois-ci une histoire sonore plus radicale et noise. Composé comme une unique pièce de 30 minutes, cet album a été présenté dans un premier temps à Séoul lors de leur live « Histoire du Noir ». Découpés par la suite en sept morceaux (dont un remix d’Eexxppoann et Yuji Kondo), l’album s’articule autour de références cinématographiques qui constituent cette forme narrative qui leur est propre. Un scénario. Le roi est mort.

« Massacre » is the second release of the Mas duo. After « Géométrie du Cœur », the two artists propose this time a more radical and noise sound film. Composed as a thirty minutes piece, this album has been presented for the first time in Seoul during their live « Histoire du Noir ». Cut into seven tracks (including a remix from Eexxppoann and Yuji Kondo), the album revolves around film references that constitute this narrative form of their own. A scenario. The king is dead.

Ancient ziggurats dominating oriental marketplaces swept by the wind, rattlesnakes hissing at the rhythm of tribal transcending ceremonies, until the ultimate sacrifice on the altar of the sound, the Sycomore EP reads into the Tree of Life symbol in an exemplary manner.
